Expanded Music, Rules, and Gameplay
Metallica Remastered includes an expanded soundtrack of 22 officially licensed songs,
adding eight new tracks beyond the original release. The legendary Lyman Sheats rule set has been
carefully enhanced with new depth while staying true to the original’s timeless feel.
New gameplay additions include modes based on Metallica’s recent albums
72 Seasons and Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, along with a brand-new
Blackened Wizard Mode. These additions provide deeper progression, higher skill ceilings,
and increased replay value for both competitive players and home collectors.
Limited Edition Visual & Mechanical Enhancements
The Remastered LE features extensive cabinet and playfield upgrades, including Stern’s
Expression Lighting System and two all-new art packages by the renowned Metallica artist
Rhys Cooper. Dramatic UV lighting effects are integrated throughout the playfield, creating
striking visual moments during key game events.
John Borg’s iconic playfield geometry returns with refinements and upgrades, including three
all-new sculptures: an updated Sparky, the Hammer, and RGB-illuminated
Skull inserts. A new Metallica logo spell-out on the back panel further enhances the machine’s
visual presence.
A Modern Tribute to a Pinball Legend
Since forming in 1981, Metallica has become one of the most influential bands in music history, and
Metallica Remastered LE reflects that legacy with uncompromising attention to detail. Stern Pinball’s
design team, led once again by John Borg with software engineering by Raymond Davidson, has crafted a
machine that respects the original while pushing it firmly into the modern era.
